Physical structure, schematic symbol and characteristic - SCR, Diac, Triac and UJT. Application of these devices in electronics.


At the end of this course, you will be able to :

1. Describe illustratively the theoretical characteristics and electrical properties of semiconductors. (C2)

2.   Explain the applications of semiconductor devices using the schematic diagrams. (C4)

FIELD EFFECT TRANSISTORS (FET)

Physical structure and schematic symbol of JFET and MOSFET (D-MOSFET and E-MOSFET). Biasing circuits: common source (CS), common-drain (CD) and common-gate (CG) amplifiers. I-V Characteristics and operating region. Amplifier concepts. FET as a switch.

At the end of this course, you will be able to

MULTISTAGE AMPLIFIERS

Introduction to feedback (block diagram and types of feedback) , Analysis at middle, low and high frequency of multi-stage amplifier with RC coupling and direct coupling, cascade amplifiers-Darlington Pair.



At the end of this course, you will be able to :

1.   Describe illustratively the theoretical characteristics and electrical properties of

    EE202 (Chapter 3) - BJT

    What is BJT??

     BJT is Bipolar Junction Transistor
    Physical structure and schematic symbols. Basic transistor operation. Configurations and current relationships. I-V characteristics. Operating regions. The DC load line. Data sheets. Analysis and design of biasing circuits. Biasing stability. Classification of amplifiers and concepts. Other applications of BJT



    At the end of this course, you will be able to :
    1.   Describe illustratively the theoretical characteristics and electrical properties of 
          semiconductors.
    2.   Explain the applications of semiconductor devices using the schematic diagrams. 
           Conduct the construction of semiconductor devices application circuits based on    
          schematic diagrams.

    EE201 (Chapter 2) - DIODE

    Assalam & Salam Sejahtera untuk pelajar yang dikasihi,

    Maaf di atas kelewatan upload nota Chapter 2..

    Untuk Chapter 2, pelajar akan didedahkan dengan pengenalan berkaitan Diode dan juga aplikasi Diode dalam Elektronik seperti Rectifier, Clippers dan Clampers.

    INTRODUCTION TO SEMICONDUCTORS

    Atomic Structure. Materials classification. Covalent bonds. Conduction in semiconductors. Extrinsic semi-conductors. The p-n junction. Biasing the p-n junction.

The course covers the fundamentals of electronic devices which includes diodes, bipolar junction transistors and field effect transistors.
